Welcome!
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Wausau is a service
leadership organization that has played an active role in the
Wausau community for over 45 years!
The holiday season is here and although the chilly winds and
snow of winter have arrived, it doesn't mean there aren't some
great projects to do in the Wausau community. One of the
many projects that is synonymous with this time of the year is
working at the Salvation Army Angel Tree at the Wausau Center Mall.
This literally allows folks to be Santa's helpers in donating
gifts to children that would otherwise go without a present during
the holidays. We'll be helping shoppers select the right
child and then collect the gifts for the Salvation Army to
distribute. In addition, our annual Christmas Holiday Basket
project will take place just before Christmas, which involves
buying food and then delivering these lovely baskets to needy
families right here in the area. This is by far one of our
most heart touching and fun projects to be a part of. You can
certainly learn more about these projects and what else we have in
the works by going to our our News
and Calendar sections, sending us an
e-mail through the Contacts page
or by coming to one of our wonderful meetings, where you can add
your name to the sign-up sheet.
Join us each Thursday at 5:15pm at
The Hoffman House Restaurant in Wausau. For more details on upcoming meetings, click
on Club Meetings and check out
the Calendar for a listing for
all our latest projects and events.
The Greater Wausau Kiwanis Club is located in Division 25 of
the Northwoods Region in the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District.
