of the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
Not only does our club enjoy
visiting other clubs in our Division and District, known as Interclubbing,
but we also welcome any Kiwanians near and far to come by for a
visit.

Events
Guest Speaker: Kari Rassmusen
Have you ever been driving around downtown
Wausau during the warmer months of the year and wondering was
going on in the city square? Well the odds are it is an
event organized by Wausau Area Events. From the Thursday
Farmers Market, to the Wausau Balloon Glow and Rally, to the
Concerts on the Square, Wausau Area Events plays a roll in
coordinating them. More so, Kari was recent named the
director of this organization. Be sure to drop by to find
out what big events are on the schedule this coming spring and
summer.

- March 25, 2010-Update on W-UM Circle K
Program Chair: Jeremy Tabin, Asst. Administrator
The end of the Circle K administrative year is
March 31st and so what better time than any to let you know how
the collegiate branch of our organization is fairing. No
only will you learn about the amount of funds raised to help
with the Six Cents Initiative with Unicef, but also total
district service hours and insights into some of the service
projects that have been accomplished. A wealth of
information and perhaps even an added update on some of the
successes of our Newman Key Club.

- April 8, 2010-What is ATTIC?
Guest Speaker: Mike Ballard
If you have ever driven down Thomas Street
toward Grand Ave. you may have noticed a building that always
seems to have a full parking lot during the week. ATTIC is
a place where those folks that have broken the law go to not
only reform their ways, but allows them to put in time working
in the community. In other words, instead of spending time
in jail, this is a program that can allow offenders to serve
their time while trying to make a positive impact in the area.
For more details on the results of ATTIC, be sure to attend this
meeting.

- April 22, 2010-Update on Town of Rib
Mountain
Guest Speaker: Gaylene Rhoden, Town Administrator
We have been fortunate enough over the past few
years to have our meetings at the Hoffman House in Rib Mountain.
However there is more to this town than being in the shadow of
Granite Peak. From a bustling stretch of retail stores, to
an ever expanding residential areas, to dealing with making
improvements on area roadways, there is a lot happening in Rib
Mountain. This meeting after Tax Day will let you know
what has been going on in town and what is on the horizon to
continue to make Rib Mountain a great place to be.
